Sunday 12th November 2017
9.00am Holy Communion
10.30am Parade Service
An opportunity to come together as a community and to remember all who fought in both World Wars and in other conflicts since, and especially those from our own parish who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
An Act of Remembrance will be held during both of the Sunday services at St Mary’s.
We shall be joined at the 10.30am Parade Service by representatives of the local Uniformed Organisations. The service will conclude with the laying of a commemorative wreath in our garden.
All our welcome to stay for refreshments served in the church hall following both services.
Palm Sunday commemorates Jesus’ entrance into Jerusalem. As he rode into the city on a donkey, his followers spread palm branches at his feet and called him “Hosanna” or “savior.” Palm branches were considered symbols of victory and triumph at the time.
For those who missed our Palm Sunday service we have produced a video hosted on our YouTube channel. If you would like to find out more about St Mary’s you can email us or call in to say hello at the Church on Park Road in Camberley. Our Family Service starts at 10:30 on Sunday’s. We hope to welcome you soon.
John 12:12-19 NIV
Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as King
12 The next day the great crowd that had come for the festival heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem. 13 They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, “Hosanna! ” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Blessed is the king of Israel!” 14 Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, as it is written: 15 “Do not be afraid, Daughter Zion; see, your king is coming, seated on a donkey’s colt.” 16 At first his disciples did not understand all this. Only after Jesus was glorified did they realize that these things had been written about him and that these things had been done to him. 17 Now the crowd that was with him when he called Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to spread the word. 18 Many people, because they had heard that he had performed this sign, went out to meet him. 19 So the Pharisees said to one another, “See, this is getting us nowhere. Look how the whole world has gone after him!”

We are pleased to announce we are changing the time of one of our Sunday services.
From Sunday 4th September 2016 the time of the Morning Worship will change to 10.30 am. There will be no change to the Holy Communion service at 9.00 am.
Morning Worship will remain an informal service of worship, teaching and ministry with children’s and youth work programmes. We will continue to have communion once a month.
Refreshments will be served after both of the Sunday services as before.
