Today’s café Church was to celebrate Mother’s Day!
Whilst some of the Dad’s prepared the posies in one of the Centre’s rooms, the main event was hosted by Katherine, who kept us all entertained with some funny Mother’s Day videos. The Bible reading was performed by The Crossley Family and catering was provided by Sue and Darren and this week was a continental offering.
The event was filmed (and shortened to 45 minutes) for all those who were unable to join us, and has been uploaded to YouTube here => https://youtu.be/0j_cC-ajUu0

Family Fun at February’s Café Church
This months Café Church included waffles and pancakes and was enjoyed by everyone who joined us. Jess Newson organised a Nehemiah wall rebuilding show bringing adults and children together in a hilarious 20 minute sketch. The bible reading was read by Jimmy who was confident and received a huge round of applause. There was lots of activities on hand and included word searches and the Sunday papers to keep everyone entertained.

Family fun for everyone at St Mary’s café church.
Today’s Café Church welcomed our Community with a relaxed and informal style of Worship with lots of fun and games for everyone. Our theme for today was “Light” and our recent Baptism families were welcomed back with a beautiful candle arrangement.
A guest appearance by one of the Hubble puppets had all the children and adults alike singing along to a fun Worship song. There was dancing, colouring, pumpkin carving and our younger visitors made a lighthouse using crepe and gold paper.
Our amazing catering team provided tea, coffee and soft drinks and a selection of bacon and sausage buns for all using our newly completed kitchen.
If you’d like to come along and join in the fun, our events calendar has a list of what’s coming up or feel free to drop in at anytime and our Team in the Church Office will be able to help.

Catering for our Community
It’s been an extra busy time for our catering and coffee Team’s at St Mary’s whilst the kitchen works were underway. As is quite normal undertaking such a large project, there have been a few delays along the way. The works took slightly longer than expected, due to some electrical wiring that had to be replaced, the move of the heating ducts and the installation of the hall ceiling fans, designed to push the heat down to floor level.
Finally though, we’re now open for business!
Having a new kitchen in place will allow us to help spread the Word of God even further within our Community by providing what we do exceptionally well.
Our first big test will be at our Café Church on Sunday 2nd October 2016 starting at 10:30. This is a relaxed, informal, friendly and fun way for all the family to meet, worship and enjoy God’s Holy Spirit, whilst catching up with the Sunday Papers.
A cafe Church event was held for the Community at St Mary’s Church Centre to celebrate our wonderful Mums. With lots of activities for all ages including a sketch performed by the local youngsters to show what a busy life our Mums lead. With the Sunday papers and Pastries on offer too and live music from the amazing Eric!
The event was a huge success with lots of new people to meet and a very informal relaxed atmosphere. Some of the photos of the day are shown with all relevant permissions.
We’d love to welcome you to our next fun interactive morning at our Good Friday Happening on April 3rd 2015 from 10 – 11:30am.
We’d like to thank everyone involved and those who gave up their time to prepare the hall and our wonderful Chefs on the day. Thank you all.
